We are looking for a seasoned professional contributor to lead the design, development, testing and analysis of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks for the Galleys Program. The role is based in Leighton Buzzard, UK, with occasional travel and flexible remote days (Monday and Friday).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage small projects or processes and work autonomously with limited oversight.
- Coach, review and support cross‑functional team work.
- Produce products that meet specifications using cost‑effective and efficient methods.
- Analyse and evaluate new or improved electronic components.
- Act as technical interface for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop customer relationships based on transparency and trust.
- Author, check and approve technical documentation in accordance with delegation of authority.
- Monitor, report and act upon key performance and leading indicators to achieve predictable outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar electrical engineering or manufacturing role.
- Strong knowledge of wiring diagrams, wiring lists, CAD (Catia or NX preferred), and PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred).
- Experience with power generation, transmission and distribution, illumination, wire‑communication systems, circuit theory, and computer design & development.
- Electrical certifications such as DO‑160, DO‑178 & DO‑254 are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to achieve outcomes through dialogue with local and global stakeholders.
- A STEM degree (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
