We are looking to welcome a Contracts Manager to lead and develop a dynamic Contracts team. This high‑impact role offers significant visibility across the business, the chance to influence key commercial outcomes, and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement within a critical function.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of Contracts professionals, providing direction and ensuring alignment of business goals with the contracts organization.
- Own, develop, implement and execute policies, procedures and processes in accordance with company and customer requirements, identify key performance indicators, and manage production and analysis.
- Participate in and/or conduct front‑end assessments of proposals.
- Summarise contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks and formulate recommendations.
- Provide business support and ensure risk mitigation when necessary.
- Lead or provide oversight of proposal development, focusing on contractual elements, reviewing terms for acceptability and compliance with company policies, procedures, contract formation, negotiations and contract administration.
- Secure required management approval for proposal submittals to customers.
- Support contract closure with customers when challenges arise that require engagement of Contracts Senior Leadership.
- Continuously enhance the Contracts Program in collaboration with the Central Contracts Team.
- Lead leadership and talent development activities for contracts associates within the business and across the company.
- Work at all levels of the business, collaborating with leaders of different SBUs and the General Counsel of Collins Aerospace.
- Coordinate between or among SBUs when contracts, proposal activities or common issues affect multiple BUs with the same customer.
- Support audit or customer requests.
- Develop industry expertise and experience.
- Build strategic leadership skills.
- Learn from a highly dynamic and innovative business.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing high‑performing teams.
- Experience with Government contracts and a working knowledge of industry regulation.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the Contracts function across the wider business, engaging with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, balancing risk, opportunity and business objectives.
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management and advocacy.
- Industry knowledge and experience are advantageous and will support success in the role.
- Degree in a relevant discipline or corresponding experience in a Contracts environment.
- Security clearance: hold or be capable of holding UK Security Clearance at least to SC level.
