Are You Ready to Shape the Future of Aircraft Interior Components? At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference solving the world’s most complex problems. We are seeking a highly collaborative, forward-leaning Senior Product Owner to support across our software solutions portfolio. This is a critical, dual-track role where you will be responsible for carefully managing and supporting successful legacy on-premise products, while working shoulder-to-shoulder with your teams to build a clear vision for our modern cloud-based software portfolio.

You will work closely alongside fellow product peers, stepping up to mentor and coach across the group to help elevate best practices. We need a leader with a fiercely portfolio-first mindset. The existing environment can be heavily siloed, and a primary goal for this role is to break down those barriers. Your success will be measured by your ability to elevate the entire suite of solutions, alongside supporting and mentoring peers to raise our overall standard of product delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive peer mentorship and coaching: As an experienced product practitioner, you will organically mentor, coach, and elevate the capabilities of peers and team members around you, helping to set the benchmark for product best practices.
  • Actively work to dismantle organisational silos by fostering cross-pollination of ideas, encouraging shared goals, and acting as a servant leader across distributed engineering and architecture pods in the UK, the US, and India.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to existing global customers, taking careful ownership of their current pain points and showing patience and empathy when tackling complex legacy issues.
  • Partner closely with these customers, actively listening to how they use current tools to collaboratively define how future product enhancements must deliver value.
  • Actively manage and execute ongoing roadmaps for existing legacy products, ensuring they continue to deliver value and meet current market demands.
  • Support the execution of total lifecycle management, including the eventual, phased sun-setting of legacy systems with immense tact and consideration for the customer impact.
  • Work side-by-side with Product Managers, who hold primary accountability for overarching product strategy and vision, to translate that vision into actionable execution, ensuring delivery alignment across the broader portfolio.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to monitor and support adherence to the product P&L, helping track CAPEX and OPEX spend to ensure execution remains within budget and aligned with profitability goals.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong, proven experience as a Product Owner leading complex enterprise software from strategy through to delivery.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen, with a track record of successfully managing or supporting a product P&L, including the strategic allocation and tracking of CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • A forward-leaning mindset with some level of demonstrable experience working within data-heavy and AI-driven product environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successfully and carefully aligning cross-cultural teams and stakeholders across the UK, US, and India.
  • Proficiency using product and engineering tooling (such as Aha! Roadmaps, Azure DevOps, Productboard, or Jira) to plan customer needs and manage quarterly delivery expectations.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • A seasoned leader & mentor: As one of the most experienced members of the team, you must have a proven track record of upskilling peers, setting high standards, and leading by example without relying on hierarchical authority.
  • A ‘portfolio-first’ thinker: You look beyond your own product line and have a proven ability to break down silos to unite disparate teams behind a shared, overarching strategy.
  • A deeply collaborative, team-first mindset: You must possess high emotional intelligence, with a proven ability to listen carefully, build trust, and work seamlessly with diverse engineering and commercial teams.

Why Join Us? At Collins Aerospace, we believe in empowering our people to make a real difference. You’ll be part of a supportive, innovative team where your contributions are valued, and your career growth is encouraged.
