Role & Responsibilities
The key responsibility of this role will be to carry out in process Calibration of the toolsets and hardware at our Manufacturing sites ensuring it meets the strict quality standards to enable customer delivery requirements. Working as part of a supportive Quality Control and Quality Assurance Team, the successful candidate will be centrally responsible for calibration activities whilst engaging with key stakeholders across Raytheon’s Integrated Project Teams. This role will work closely with our Calibration Lead and report to the Senior Quality Engineer.
Required Experience
- Strong Quality Mindset with Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with calibration methodologies, certifications, lab environments
- Metrology & Mechanical skillset and/or experience in other technical inspection discipline
- IT literate with database experience
- A solid understanding of calibration, measurement principles, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent numerical accuracy and data-handling skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation of workload
- Proactive approaches to risk reduction, to prevent & resolve issues and remove nonvalue add processes
Desirable Experience
- Trained in metrology equipment, awareness of AS9100 HNC/HND; Apprenticeship, Eng discipline or equivalent qualification or work experience
- Risk assessments or safety training
- ISO or AS Quality standard awareness, British Standards, ISO 10012, ISO17025, UKAS & ANSI540
- Experience in electronics manufacture
