We’re looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team and play a key role in the production of high‑quality aircraft interior components. This hands‑on role involves operating machinery within our Hi‑Tech machine shop producing low‑batch, high‑mix production runs of component parts for the Aircraft interiors business.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform self‑inspection of repeat work using appropriate inspection equipment (training provided).
- Carry out assembly tasks closely following aerospace drawings.
- Advise Team Lead and production engineering team of production issues and defects.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase production.
- Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and support teams.
- Adhere to all company EH&S and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain housekeeping, 5S, and FOD rules to ensure a best‑in‑class organized working environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous assembly background preferred.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
- Experience completing process improvement projects.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Solid understanding of metallurgy and materials properties.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing assembly.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office to document and report performance.
- Experience leading or supporting process improvement projects.
