Shape the employee experience across the UK, Ireland and Middle East.

At RTX, more than 180,000 people around the world are working together to solve some of the toughest challenges in aerospace and defence.

Across our businesses, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon, we combine advanced technology, deep expertise and world-class operations to help connect and protect our world.

We are now looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our UKI & Middle East People Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys Employee Relations, thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work within a large, complex international organisation.

Professional fluency in both Arabic and English is essential for this position, as you will regularly support our MENA region and assist with document translation.

What you’ll be doing

Sitting within our specialist Tier 2 People Services team, you’ll be a trusted source of HR advice for managers, helping them confidently navigate a broad range of people matters.

Your work will be varied, with a particular focus on providing initial Employee Relations advice and guidance across areas including absence, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances and redundancy.

You’ll also

  • Advise, coach and guide managers and employees through HR policies, processes and people-related situations, from straightforward queries through to more complex cases.
  • Take ownership of your own HR caseload, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate and practical support.
  • Provide initial advice across specialist areas including Employee Relations, Total Reward, Talent and Learning & Development.
  • Work closely with our Employee Relations Centre of Expertise where cases require formal intervention, ensuring effective recommendations and case handovers.
  • Partner with HR teams and Centres of Expertise to support consistent and harmonised HR policies and processes.
  • Manage cases and customer updates through Service Now, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Resolve HR enquiries received through telephone, email and our online People Services portal.
  • Use HR policies, established processes and relevant country legislation to provide clear, consistent guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, knowledge articles and the overall employee and manager experience.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and optimisation activities with internal teams and third‑party partners.
  • Champion the People Services operating model and collaborate with colleagues across the wider HR organisation.
  • What you’ll bring

You will be an experienced HR professional who can combine sound judgement with a strong customer mindset.

You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and giving managers clear, practical advice when people situations become more complex.

We’re looking for

  • Professional fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English, including the ability to translate documents and communicate regularly with colleagues and customers across the MENA region.
  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor, generalist HR or HR Shared Services environment.
  • Experience advising and coaching managers on HR policies and their practical application.
  • Good knowledge of HR policies, processes and Employee Relations principles.
  • Experience providing first‑stage advice on Employee Relations matters.
  • Practical experience of absence and performance management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
  • A practical, logical approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge, coach colleagues and contribute to the wider team.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence learning and working with HR technology.
  • Experience using Workday and/or Service Now would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
  • A CIPD Level 5 qualification or above, or another relevant HR qualification, is preferred.
