About the role: Technician Grade P2 – Engineering Technician at Raytheon UK (Harlow, Essex). This permanent, full‑time role (37 hours weekly) supports the design, development, production and integration of Weapon Systems under new contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and legislation.
- Mechanical assembly, modification and repair of hardware.
- Regular checking of tools and machinery.
- Mechanical and Electrical testing.
- Completion of forms and maintenance records.
- Understand quality requirements and proactively report issues/observations.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as an electrical and mechanical technician.
- Ability to follow strict company Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- Proficient in using tools for repair and manufacture of equipment.
- Ability to work accurately and to deadlines.
- Good hand‑eye coordination.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems (desirable).
- Previous experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment (desirable).
- Valid UK driver’s licence.
- UK passport.
- Willingness to travel when required.
