Title: SAP Developer.

Location: Remote/Hybrid working with occasional travel to our main UK sites, Glenrothes and Harlow.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to support ERP ABAP development within the Digital Technology team, responsible for delivery and support of application solutions for UK-based divisions.

In your role as a SAP Developer you will have a meaningful mission, work within a collaborative culture, and have access to a comprehensive benefits package and in-house training.

You will be part of an established manufacturing/engineering environment, with opportunities for growth through internal and external training.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Work with functional/business teams to deliver systems that meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with staff and users to ensure timely and effective delivery of changes.
  • Interface with users on bug fixes, service requests and approved changes to current systems and new applications.
  • Ensure ongoing availability of Raytheon systems and improve system productivity.
  • Provide system support within published service levels, respond to break fixes, and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Provide out-of-hours support as agreed with the functional area (e. g., Finance month-end).
  • Maintain integrity, availability and security of information and systems.
  • Conduct business analysis and requirements capture, system analysis, programming and testing.
  • Develop and document technical specifications for technologists and users.
  • Respond to break fixes and execute preventative maintenance.
  • Analyze, design, code, test, implement, document and support development and enhancements to RSL applications and interfaces.
  • Monitor Helpdesk and Change Control systems for incoming work; update configuration/change management tools and reflect changes to the application portfolio.
  • Collaborate with vendors to deliver requirements and resolve issues.
  • Occasional visits to other RSL sites and partner organizations may be required.
  • Your skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with strong SAP R3 and ABAP programming experience.
  • General knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies, with expertise in one or more fields.
  • Experience delivering and supporting business-critical applications within a large organization.
  • Knowledge and operational experience in manufacturing or defence industries (preferred).
  • Ability to add CPS job scheduler (SAP Business Process Automation by Redwood).
  • Understanding of IT / Systems Engineering disciplines, including requirements management, configuration management, change control, reliability analysis and quality management.
  • Familiarity with action planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work with specialist resources to achieve solutions.
  • Logical, analytical, innovative, customer-focused, flexible, disciplined, and organized.
  • Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines; appreciation of controlled processes and standards.
