Director of Human Resources (UK)
Location: Harlow, Essex (UK). We are seeking a dynamic people leader who can navigate a complex matrix organisation with agility. As Director of Human Resources, you will partner with the in‑country leadership team to shape and embed our enterprise‑wide people strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full employee lifecycle including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organisational Design and Organisational Effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Centres of Expertise (COEs) to strengthen shared culture and reinforce inclusive behaviours.
- Develop and implement talent strategies: high‑potential identification, acceleration, assessment, succession planning, career development and talent movement.
- Apply change‑management frameworks and tools to help the business plan and lead change effectively.
- Manage projects to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
- Provide coaching, influencing, and constructive challenge to senior leaders to address entrenched cultures or behaviours.
- Use data and insights to inform business cases and support decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Work effectively within a matrix environment and with U.S. based functional alignment.
Qualifications
- Deep subject‑matter expertise across all areas of people consulting.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand business priorities and external factors.
- Evidence of experience developing and implementing talent strategies.
- Change‑management skills using consulting frameworks and tools.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent coaching, influencing and problem‑solving abilities.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Comfort working in a matrix environment with U.S. functional alignment.
