Overview
Raytheon UK has an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Weapons Programme finance team, based in Harlow.
As Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality, accurate and actionable financial analysis and insight to the Finance and Programme teams.
Your work will support the development of the AOP and 5 Year Plan, project accounting (EACs), monthly forecasting and variance analysis.
You must be eligible and willing to gain BPSS and SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Production of weekly and monthly reporting requirements
- Provide day-to-day financial support for key stakeholders
- Month-end close activities, including journal preparation
- Support the achievement of metrics (bookings, sales, profit, cash)
- Assist in the establishment of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and five-year plan targets
- Champion best practice and act as the “financial conscience” of the business, ensuring adherence to Business and Financial Policies
- Support new business proposals for Gate Reviews, including pricing, basis-of-estimate generation, foreign exchange management and risks and opportunities management
- Provide financial insight to support the business risk & opportunities process (development, analysis, mitigation & review)
- Build and maintain a network with stakeholders across functions
- Required Experience
- AAT Qualified/Part Qualified
- CIMA (Preferred) / ACCA
- Experience in finance roles
- Business partnering skills, working across different internal functions
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working with SAP, Power BI, MS Office Applications (Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Project accounting experience
- Attention to detail and process adherence
- Able to manage multiple tasks, stay organised to deadlines and thrive in fast-paced environments
