Role & Responsibilities
The Training Equipment Defect Co-Ordinator role is responsible to the Raytheon Selborne Regional Training Equipment Management (RTEM) at HMS Sultan. They will co-ordinate defective repair of all Training Equipment within Company standards and contractual requirements for the support of training equipment services within the Selborne contract. The role will be based at HMS Sultan in Gosport and will require occasional travel to naval training sites across the UK.
- To organise the timely defect rectification and maintenance of Training Equipment.
- To organise maintenance to satisfy statutory requirements on a variety of systems and equipment. (HP Air, Workshop machinery, welding equipment etc)
- To develop and maintain an understanding in the functionality and operation of all applicable training equipment.
- Control of Maintain Statutory Written Schemes of Examination for pressure systems, Local Exhaust Ventilation and Lifting Equipment.
- To liaise with other departments, business units and nominated representatives to ensure a consistent approach is adopted to safety policy, processes, procedures, and initiatives.
- To collaborate closely with contractors to ensure maximum operability of Training Equipment.
- To collaborate closely with the Authority to plan down time for machinery repair to minimise disruption to the Training output.
- Ensure Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are always implemented and complied with.
- To work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post / role.
Required experience
Experience and a good working knowledge of all MS Office applications. packages to manipulate data accordingly and to present statistical information. Experience of working within a facilities management environment Good customer relation skills Engineering/electrical basic understanding in a military technical/ highly regulated environment. Promotes a positive leadership culture where ownership, accountability and involvement in decision making are promoted. Energy, drive and enthusiasm to continually improve self and others. Desirable experience
- IOSH Working safely certificate.
- Facilities Management Qualified in Fire Awareness Risk Assessment trained A working knowledge of MoD regulations and procedures relating to equipment maintenance and lifecycle management.
