Overview

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire. Hybrid work arrangement. RTX is a leading aerospace and defense company with a long history of solving complex problems for a safer world.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical financial oversight and guidance for the contracts the organization maintains.
  • Partner with Program Management and cross-functional leads to support program execution.
  • Support all programs’ financial aspects including financial planning (LRP, AOP, working capital), Monthly Financial Performance Reporting, variance analysis, data review and reporting, and NBI.
  • Contribute to program controls such as developing estimates at complete (EACs) and execution of EVM.
  • Support the development of manpower, material and other direct costs for Bids & Proposals using estimating and pricing tools, ensuring TINA compliance where applicable.
  • Provide estimating support for Basis of Estimates, including validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approaches are sound.
  • Support gate reviews and audits as required.

Qualifications

  • Must Have: A university degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Part/Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred).
  • Resilience and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Commercially astute, proactive, analytical and inquisitive with strong attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Preferred: Strong customer focus, experience in a defence or complex contracting environment, ability to drive change and influence beyond authority, and experience presenting to management and peers.
  • Experience interpreting, analysing and questioning financial data; excellent communication skills (oral and written) across all levels.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, and MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
