Job Description:
Control daily running and organisation of all labour and material within designated manufacturing area. To communicate via verbal and written handover with team within production areas. Carry out aspects of daily standard work. Working as part of a team rotating between dayshift and nightshift.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential:
- Willingness to learn and develop themselves and others.
- Drive and enthusiasm.
- Effective communication.
- Basic understanding of MS office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Awareness of the company rules regarding safety at work practices.
- Should be creative in their approach to job allocation and can think clearly and logically.
- Knowledge of SAP and Visiprise systems.
- Ideally you will have experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience managing targets and workload.
Responsibilities:
- Lead team to meet daily/weekly targets.
- Host and participate in Tiered accountability meeting, update schedule, WIP trackers & Target sheets, keep PRB issues up to date.
- Ensure that key equipment is manned to the correct level.
- Organising holidays, overtime & OTJ training.
- Monitor operators’ ability to follow specifications precisely.
- Ensure department and company Safety Regulations are met.
- Safety walks, T card checks and Gemba walks.
- Compliance with all EHS requirements, Risk and COSHH assessments and any EHS-related duties included in the role.
- Act as critical communication link between support groups - process, equipment, quality, facilities etc.
- Lead by example.
- Inform Team Leads of all events of every shift – targets, downtime, component problems, etc when they occur (cover for Team Lead during absence).
- Carry out 5S audits and help deliver actions on finding.
- Communicate to opposite shift of all relevant information.
