Role & Responsibilities
- Accountable for all training courses assigned to you with regards to training transformation.
- Advocate for the creation of training content that is active, engaging, inclusive and learner centric.
- Ensure that processes for reviewing and changing training courses follow the end‑to‑end training design process, are DSAT compliant, and adhere to quality and media enhancement standards.
- Proactively address, resolve and, if necessary, escalate any challenges that may impact delivery timelines.
- Produce and develop high‑quality training design, e‑learning and courseware materials as required.
- Develop and design training courseware using a variety of media and technology.
- Contribute to overall instructional strategy, analyzing and implementing changes to training programmes, and identifying effective instructional design methodologies.
- Seek feedback and impact stories to further enhance training courses and continuously celebrate completed work.
- Integrate changes derived from internal and external validation into all training design activities, ensuring training remains up‑to‑date and meets operational and workplace performance requirements.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to positively contribute toward training transformation.
- Identify opportunities to provide accreditation for new or amended training and assess implications for existing accreditations following training design changes.
- Continuously develop your own professional skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to health and safety responsibilities for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
- Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
- Perform any other duties required to support the Integrated Training Design Service.
Required Experience
- Demonstrate a passion for training transformation and continuous improvement.
- Show enthusiasm for learning, collaborating, communicating, and demonstrating best practice within the business, customers and the wider team.
- Display attention to detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to plan, multitask, deliver on time and work independently.
- Adopt a flexible approach to the role and be able to adapt to evolving priorities.
Desirable Experience
- A previous role with a Learning and Development environment.
- Experience with ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
- Background in Training and/or Instructional Design.
- Familiarity with program management tools and applications.
- Knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies.
- Capability to contribute within a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical problems.
