Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, accurate and actionable financial analysis and insight to Finance and Programme teams.
  • Maintain and produce financial reports, analyse performance data, generate and analyse cost data.
  • Support new business opportunities, management/programme teams, and production and analysis of varying degrees of financial reports.
  • Support development of AOP and Long‑Range Plan, Quarterly EACs, pricing requests, monthly forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Act as the financial conscience of the business, ensuring governance through Business and Financial Policy adherence.
  • Provide financial insight to support business risk & opportunities process (development, analysis, mitigation & review).
  • Actively promote accuracy, predictability and value‑add analysis across all finance metrics.
  • Build a network and collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Champion best practice and look to improve systems and processes.
  • Support Finance Manager with meaningful financial analysis for new business investment decisions and pricing.
  • Ad‑hoc analysis as required by the business and wider finance teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • Part/Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred)
  • Resilience to work in a pressured environment and adapt to fast‑paced growth
  • Commercially astute
  • Proactive, analytical and inquisitive
  • Attention to detail and process adherence
  • Highly organised and self‑motivated
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Eligibility to receive SC clearance (role requires SC clearance)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Relevant commercial/business experience in a similar defence or complex contracting environment
  • Project Accounting / Business Partnering experience
  • Experience interfacing with functional disciplines (Business Development, Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, Program Management, etc.)
  • Creative problem solver who can operate effectively under changing constraints
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
