Raytheon UK is searching for a Tier 3 Network Engineer to join our OMNIA® Training team. As a Tier 3 Network Engineer, you will be critical to the successful delivery of the programme, collaborating within a matrix organisation, with multi-disciplinary teams within Engineering. OMNIA are redefining the British Army’s collective training. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. You must be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance and will be based at Warminster working in a hybrid style.

You’ll work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Tier 2 Support Lead. Ultimately, you’ll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military collective training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network issues affecting live production systems, training platforms, and business services.
- Act as the highest level of escalation for network-related incidents and service outages.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced networking issues across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL service management practices.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation activities for major network incidents.
- Maintain and optimise network performance, reliability, and availability across operational environments.
- Support network configuration, upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering teams to support system deployments and network integrations.
- Monitor network performance and security using monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience providing Tier 3 network support within complex enterprise or operational environments.
- Strong expertise in networking technologies including routing, switching, firewalling, VPNs, and network security.
- Experience supporting cloud networking environments (e.g., Azure Virtual Networks, AWS VPCs).
- Knowledge of deployable satellite internet constellations (e.g., Starlink) or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of 4/5G network solutions and technologies.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex network issues across distributed or hybrid environments.
- Experience supporting container networking and service connectivity within platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and leading resolution of major incidents.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices including incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Strong understanding of network security practices including segmentation, firewall rules, and secure connectivity.
- Relevant networking certification (e.g., CCNP or equivalent experience).
- Holds or is eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting networking within modelling and simulation environments, particularly Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training systems.
- Experience working with cloud-native networking architectures and microservices environments.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation practices.
- Experience supporting hybrid network architectures spanning on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Understanding of DevOps or DevSecOps environments and support practices.
- Advanced networking certifications (e.g., CCIE, cloud networking certifications, or equivalent).
