You’ll work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Programme Management Team. Ultimately, you’ll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military training.
The ACTS Delivery Programme Manager is responsible for leading the delivery and operationalisation of the Army Collective Training System. This includes overseeing the implementation of training capabilities, managing delivery partners, and ensuring that the ACTS meets requirements and delivers the planned benefits. The role is delivery‑focused, with a strong emphasis on execution, integration, and performance management.
Main Duties- Lead the delivery of ACTS services, ensuring alignment with British Army and Defence training objectives.
- Manage programme delivery teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Oversee system integration, testing, and validation of training solutions and processes.
- Ensure operational readiness and support transition into steady‑state service.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Report status and insights to senior stakeholders and joint governance boards.
- Provide line management to the ACTS Delivery PM team members.
- Act as a member of the PM leadership team and deputise for the Omnia Training Head of PM as required.
- Maintain an effective collaborative working relationship across all Omnia partners and Customer stakeholders.

You won’t necessarily have a military background, but you’ll understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.
- A self‑starting and capable manager, able to achieve results through a matrix organisation, and across a collaborative team, even where direct hierarchical control does not exist.
- Relevant, recent demonstrable experience (minimum of 8 years) of successful programme execution in a regulated and/or controlled environment.
- Focused on outcomes, delivery and operational excellence whilst demonstrating and advocating outstanding leadership behaviours.
- Supportive, with the character to navigate sensitive and pressurised situations to overcome delivery challenges.
- Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding.
- Drive to create change and continuously improve performance.
- Creative and open to innovation in order to solve problems.
- Ability to communicate across a diverse range of customers and colleagues both internally and externally, adapting your approach appropriately.
