Purpose of Job
To manage the stock of site tooling in support of the technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Tool kit creation – ensure all tooling is present and allocated.
- Manage new tool induction and tool loans (process improvement and execution).
- Support the Pilot Freight Project – tool movements and eWMS.
- Lead tool kit creation projects in collaboration with the technical team (e.g., PW617 Kit, PW500, PT6E, and other kits).
- Stores backup: receipt, induction and allocation of parts.
- Handle administrative tasks such as tool loans (picking tooling for customers, updating the database).
- Ensure regular calibration of tooling and coordinate with calibration service providers for out‑of‑tolerance notifications.
- Support customer tool loan requests and NDT requirements; prepare loan documentation and arrange shipping.
- Act as main point of contact with tooling vendors, obtain quotes for new tooling or repairs, and maintain the tooling database.
- Implement improvements projects related to tooling and management systems.
- Perform any other ad hoc jobs or projects to support the technical team.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, AA/AS degree or equivalent 2‑year post‑high‑school training.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience managing tooling or supply‑chain functions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with tooling databases and calibration procedures preferred.
