What you will do:

  • Provide full customs and compliance support
  • Provide expert advice to our project teams and stakeholders on customs compliance and procedures (inclusive of import and export)
  • Maintain accurate and auditable import records
  • Provide clearance instructions
  • Oversee brokers customs clearances, ensuring timely and accurate HMRC declarations
  • Manage and maintain all customs special procedures (e.g., IP, OP, TA, CW, AEO), ensuring they are updated and renewed as needed.
  • Complete and submit all required customs reports, quarterly filings with HMRC, including bills of discharge.
  • Support regulatory (United Kingdom/U.S.) and company policy related investigation and disclosure activities, implement resulting corrective actions
  • Take responsibility of documentation ensuring all processes are met with the highest standard and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in law or business and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience within customs is critical, knowledge of global customs and trade requirements
  • General understanding of export classification
  • Proven experience in documentation management within customs
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with high volumes of paperwork
  • SC Clearance required

This role will work onsite in Plymouth, can transition to hybrid working once established.
