We are currently recruiting on behalf of a confidential consultancy client an experienced Accountant to support the delivery of a major project on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract basis. Working closely with the business owner and senior stakeholders, this is a hands-on role offering exposure to a broad range of commercial finance and project accounting activities within a fast-paced service-sector environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex management information, providing meaningful financial analysis and supporting strategic decision-making at board level. This position requires someone with excellent communication and presentation skills, strong commercial awareness and exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of a high-profile client project
- Producing and analysing complex management information
- Project accounting, including modelling delivery costs and potential outcomes
- Providing financial insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders and board-level audiences
- Working with large data volumes within Excel
- Liaising directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
Ideally you will have proven project accounting experience, as strong analytical and commercial finance background with experience within a service-sector business and advanced Excel and spreadsheet modelling skills. Your communication skills will be 1st class and an exposure to Power BI would be advantageous. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, 3 days/week predominantly home-based with occasional travel to London. Ideally you will be based in Lincolnshire so you are available for the occasional collaborative meeting.
