A £40m turnover retail company in Rotherham is looking for a Financial Controller.

The company has become a global organisation selling to over 40 countries. It has several recognisable brands and continues to grow worldwide.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting functions within the organisation. This role includes managing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash flow, tax matters, and liaising with auditors.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse management reports.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and stock close adjustments.
  • Review and report on monthly management accounts.
  • Manage cash flows and forecasting.
  • Optimise cash reserves for maximum interest returns.
  • Work with subsidiaries to ensure financial alignment and reporting compliance.
  • Support ERP system integration with financial accounting processes – Business Central.
  • Manage 2 part-time clerks.

Qualifications:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified.
  • Experience in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
