The opportunity

We are recruiting a Divisional Financial Controller to join a leading global business. This role offers the chance to manage the divisional finance team, take ownership of statutory financial reporting, and drive process improvements across the business areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the divisional finance team, ensuring high performance and development.
  • Oversee the year-end process, ensuring the timely completion of statutory accounts at group level.
  • Manage the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Approve and oversee the posting of financial transactions, maintaining robust financial controls.
  • Review and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies, identifying opportunities to enhance reporting and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and contribute to various projects, supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals.

About you

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong statutory accounting expertise.
  • A proven leader, with experience managing and developing finance teams.
  • A strong communicator, adept at managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Experienced in either practice (with post-qualification industry experience) or in a financial accounting and management role within the commercial sector.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a track record of driving process improvements.
