Our client is a highly successful, privately owned business with an excellent reputation in its sector.

Following a sustained period of growth, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase of expansion and is seeking to appoint an outstanding Group Financial Controller to work alongside an experienced Group Finance Director.

This is a pivotal appointment offering significant breadth of responsibility and influence.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the finance function continues to evolve in line with the ambitions of the business, combining operational excellence with strategic support to the wider leadership team.

The role requires an accomplished finance leader who is equally comfortable operating at Board level as they are working alongside their team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who leads by example, enjoys improving the way finance operates and is not afraid to roll their sleeves up when required.

You will naturally balance attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture.

Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of the finance function, developing and mentoring a finance team while driving continuous improvement across financial reporting, systems, processes and internal controls.

You will ensure robust governance, deliver accurate and timely financial information, oversee budgeting and forecasting and provide meaningful insight to support commercial decision-making across the business.

You will also play an important role in supporting strategic initiatives, partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure the finance function is well positioned to support the company’s continued growth.

As the business continues to evolve, you will be instrumental in strengthening financial disciplines, embedding best practice and creating a finance function capable of supporting future ambitions.

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, ideally gained within a growing, privately owned, owner-managed or private equity-backed business.

You will have a strong background in financial systems, controls and process improvement, coupled with excellent technical accounting skills and the ability to lead, develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.

Most importantly, you will be a pragmatic, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, building credibility across the organisation and making a tangible difference.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where initiative, collaboration and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
