The Job:
Responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect MRO-related products and services, as well as some business services including IT contracts.
- Purchasing indirect products and services in line with the company's requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes within the MRO and business services categories
- Building and developing strong supplier relationships
- Monitoring supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs
- Carrying out supplier visits and audits
- Implementing and embedding procurement improvements
- Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and developing tender specifications
Required experience:
- At least 6 years' experience in an MRO/spares/parts focused or Indirect purchasing role, at Senior Buyer level or above
- Evidence of high spend and autonomous category responsibility
- Experience with MRO and business services/other indirect spend category
- Proven solid negotiation skills
- Experience within manufacturing purchasing is an advantage.
- CIPS qualification or working towards/equivalent
