We are recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant for a UK market-leading manufacturing company based in Rotherham offering:

The job:

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the finance department across the group and assist with month-end reporting. Reporting to the Finance Director, duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Accruals and prepayments.
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

The person:

  • Previous experience with month-end processes is required.
  • Good IT skills are essential, including advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables and Lookups etc).
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership are required.
