We are recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant for a UK market-leading manufacturing company based in Rotherham offering:

The job:
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the finance department across the group and assist with month-end reporting. Reporting to the Finance Director, duties will include, but not limited to:
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
The person:
- Previous experience with month-end processes is required.
- Good IT skills are essential, including advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables and Lookups etc).
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership are required.
