Experienced Accounts Assistant required for a business based in Rotherham:

This is a role offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to build your finance experience within a successful manufacturing business.
Your core responsibility will be Accounts Payable, but this is a much broader role than a traditional Purchase Ledger position.
Process invoices, match POs and reconcile supplier statements
Prepare supplier payment runs and deal with supplier queries
Support payroll administration, including overtime, absence and holiday information
Provide cover across Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and Cashbook
Support month-end and year-end activities
Work closely with the Finance Director, Financial Accountant and Management Accountant
Maintain accurate records and support audit requirements
Help collate and maintain recycling and environmental compliance data
Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Excel
Get involved in process improvements and ad hoc finance projects
You will need;
Previous accounts or bookkeeping experience, ideally with a good understanding of Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable.
You will be organised, accurate and confident using Excel, with the ability to manage your own workload while being happy to support colleagues across the wider Finance team.
AAT or AAT study would be advantageous, as would experience of payroll, an ERP system
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and keen to develop in a varied finance role.
