Backed by significant recent investment, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase of development and is seeking to appoint an outstanding Finance Director to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. Role and responsibilitiesReporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad leadership role that will suit an accomplished finance professional who combines strong commercial judgement with operational excellence. Equally comfortable contributing in the boardroom as they are leading the finance team, you will be someone who enjoys building capability, driving continuous improvement and creating a finance function that adds genuine value across the organisation.
You will take overall responsibility for the finance function, leading and developing an established team while enhancing financial reporting, forecasting, controls and governance. Working closely with the wider leadership team, you will provide meaningful commercial insight to support strategic decision-making, improve business performance and ensure the business has the financial infrastructure to support its ambitious plans.
The role offers considerable scope to influence the direction of the business. Alongside responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and statutory compliance, you will lead a programme of finance transformation, improving systems, processes and reporting while embedding a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will also build strong relationships with investors and external stakeholders, presenting financial performance with confidence and credibility.
Qualifications and profileWe are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, ideally gained within a growing, entrepreneurial or private equity-backed environment. You will have experience of leading high-performing finance teams, strengthening financial controls and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance and organisational change.
Just as importantly, you will be an engaging and authentic leader who enjoys developing people, challenging the status quo and delivering meaningful improvements. You will bring energy, resilience and a pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the confidence to operate strategically while remaining close enough to the detail to ensure exceptional execution.
