A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join an exciting start-up business at the beginning of its growth journey . This is a newly created role and an opportunity for someone who wants to be more than just a pair of hands in finance. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will play an important role in building robust financial processes, controls and reporting as the business develops. The role will be hands-on and varied, covering the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, cash-flow forecasting and financial information for the CEO, FD and Board. You will also support payroll, credit control, creditors and project costing. As the business grows, there will be plenty of scope to
r eview how things are done, introduce improvements and help shape the finance infrastructure from the ground up .
It is therefore an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to have a genuine influence on how a growing business operates. We are looking for a practical, hands-on finance professional who is comfortable working in a start-up environment where not everything is already established. You will ideally be part-qualified AAT, ACCA or CIMA, although strong QBE candidates with at least five years' relevant financial accounting experience will also be considered. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage, working closely with an experienced senior team and helping to build the foundations for future growth all within a four-day, 32-hour working week.
