Our client, a well-established and growing industrial manufacturing business, part of a larger international group, is seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to join its senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to act as a true strategic partner to the Managing Director, driving business performance, influencing key decisions, and shaping the future direction of the organisation.

As Finance Director, you will operate at the heart of the business, providing financial leadership, insight, and challenge across all areas. You will play a critical role in delivering growth, improving performance, and ensuring robust financial governance. This position offers high visibility within both the business unit and wider group structure, with a direct reporting line to Group CFO.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to drive strategy and performance
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and long-term strategic modelling
  • Provide clear, actionable insight to support commercial decision‑making
  • Own delivery of financial targets including revenue, profitability, and cash flow
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Support evaluation of investments, partnerships, and growth opportunities

Ideally you will be a proven Finance Director who is forward‑thinking, operational, commercial but remains hands on. You will have strong communication skills, able to challenge, support and inspire, as well as the ability to influence at board level.
