An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a well-established, privately owned SME during a significant period of change.
This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing structure and stability where it's needed most.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the business through an important transitional period.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the month-end close process.
Producing timely and accurate management accounts.
Managing payroll and overseeing UK and overseas VAT.
Supporting cash flow, financial reporting and day-to-day financial control.
Working closely with operational stakeholders to improve reporting and processes.
Using Excel extensively to analyse data and produce meaningful management information.
We're looking for someone who: Has previous Interim Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant experience.
Is comfortable joining businesses in transition and can quickly establish credibility.
Is resilient, pragmatic and able to work with imperfect information while driving improvements.
Has excellent Excel skills and enjoys getting into the detail when required.
Can start at short notice.
The role: London based with c.3 days per week on site.
Immediate start. £600–£750 per day, depending on experience.
Initial short term contract, with potential for longer term extension depending on business requirements.
