An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused and strategically minded Divisional Finance Director to join a high-growth division within a successful, private equity-backed group. This confidential appointment will suit a senior finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and a track record of driving financial performance in complex, service-led environments.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Group CFO, with a dotted line to the Divisional MD, this role will lead all financial activities for a diverse, operationally active division. You will provide full oversight of reporting, planning, forecasting, and financial control while acting as a key strategic partner to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a divisional finance team and oversee interaction with Group finance operations.
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Drive commercial insight, supporting strategic decision-making and margin improvement.
- Manage financial planning and risk, with responsibility for cash flow and working capital.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Play a key role in the financial integration of acquisitions and performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as a business partner to the MD and senior leadership team, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiencies.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Proven background in financial leadership within a fast-paced, multi-entity or multi-service business.
- Strong commercial acumen and confident working closely with operational teams.
- Hands-on, with excellent attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
- Comfortable in private equity-backed or highly change-driven environments.
- Track record of team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
