I am seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Head of Business Finance to join a market-leading, family-owned organisation operating at scale within the agriculture and food production sector. This is a senior leadership role, partnering closely with business unit leaders and the CFO to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and enable sustainable long-term growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a high-performing business partnering function, developing robust financial insights, and ensuring operational excellence across reporting, forecasting, and investment evaluation. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clarity, challenge, and forward-looking analysis You will:
- Lead and develop a business partnering finance team, working closely with business units to improve decision-making and performance.
- Translate business goals into actionable financial plans, driving growth and profitability.
- Deliver meaningful insights and KPIs that influence strategy and execution.
- Support investment and business case evaluations through rigorous financial modelling and analysis.
- Drive process improvement, systems optimisation, and best-in-class reporting.
- Act as a senior advisor to the CFO and wider leadership team.
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong commercial finance background. You will have significant post-qualification experience in senior finance roles, ideally with exposure to fast-paced, complex businesses. You will have proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver insight that shapes business performance and the confidence to challenge constructively.
