This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to lead the group financial reporting and control team in a large, fast-paced, high-growth business.
Working with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, the Group Financial Reporting and ControlManager will play a pivotal role in delivering insightful financial reporting for the group, as well as ensuring strong governance, technical compliance,and operational efficiency across all financial control activities. The role is varied and will include:
- Leading on all financial accounting matters, including the preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 101 and FRS 102, and consolidated group accounts under IFRS
- Ensuring strong controls are in place in relation to period-end close, group reporting, and balance sheet integrity
- Supporting ad hoc projects, driving process improvements and efficiencies across the Group, and implementing and updating accounting policies
- Business lead on all technical accounting matters, and providing technical accounting support to the wider team
- Managing a small team of accountants
To be successful in this role you will be a technically strong and qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong knowledge of the application of accounting standards, including IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16. This role would be particularly suited to someone who has trained in the profession before moving into a financial accounting role in a large business. You will ideally have the proven ability to successfully lead a team, and you\’ll have a strong work ethic and the drive and desire to work in a fast-paced environment where you can make an impact.
