Our client is looking for a Facilities Manager with a background in heavy industry or engineering/manufacturing environments. We're seeking a proactive and hands-on professional to oversee and enhance the facilities and infrastructure of their site, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety, with a pro-active approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of site physical infrastructure - managing buildings, machinery, plant, utilities, and support services.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, health & safety, and external contractors to ensure the smooth running of operation.
  • Day-to-day operations and long-term strategic improvements.
  • Legal aspects of compliance.
  • Monitoring and minimising risk to business continuity and operations.

Experience required:

  • Facilities Management with a background in heavy industry or engineering/manufacturing environments.
  • Procedure driven approach, monitoring and analysing workflows and processes to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Ideally a background within the factory, having worked your way up or looking to make that first step up into a co-ordination role.
  • Understanding of legal compliance around equipment and operations, such as HSE and Statutory.
  • Contractor management.
  • IT literate, comfortable using internal systems and MS Office packages.
