Interim / Fractional Manufacturing Improvement Director
Location: North East England, with regular site presence
Duration: Initially 2–3 months
Commitment: To be agreed; potentially a few days per week
Pratap Executive is partnering with an established specialist manufacturing business to appoint an experienced interim operational leader for a focused manufacturing improvement assignment.
You will assess product and plant profitability, validate existing costing and production data, and identify practical opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The remit includes product portfolio rationalisation, production consolidation and asset utilisation, translating findings into clear, financially supported Board recommendations and an actionable handover plan.
Candidates should bring senior operational experience in chemicals, process manufacturing or a comparable complex batch environment, with a demonstrable record of delivering sustainable savings. Strong numerical skills, sound operational judgement and the ability to engage constructively with operators, engineers and senior leaders are essential.
