We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for an acquisitive, forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Chesterfield. This is a newly created role due to business growth and demands. This role will suit someone ready to take their first step into a finance career and is either studying AAT or keen to begin.
Competitive salary + study support + healthcare. There will be incremental pay rises following exam passes! Full on-the-job training for AAT will be provided. Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Updating and maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers.
- Credit control duties.
- Bank reconciliations for several bank accounts, including sterling, Euro and US Dollars.
- Main point of contact between finance and the commercial team.
- Daily calls with the Sales Team for finance-related information.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent academics, including Maths and English. Good IT skills are essential. A positive attitude driven by curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to learn is essential.
