We are looking for a commercially minded Head of Product to lead product strategy, performance, and range development across a growing food manufacturing business. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for product lifecycle management, pricing and promotions, and customer-led innovation to drive profitable growth.
The Role
- You will own the end-to-end product agenda, translating consumer insight and commercial strategy into compelling product ranges that perform across retail, wholesale, and online channels.
- Working closely with Commercial, Operations, NPD, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance, you will ensure products are competitively positioned, efficiently delivered, and consistently optimised.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product and range strategy aligned to commercial and profitability targets.
- Own product lifecycle management, including launches, optimisation, and rationalisation.
- Set pricing and promotional strategies in partnership with commercial teams.
- Monitor product performance, margins, and KPIs, driving continuous improvement.
- Identify new product and market opportunities, including support on bids and tenders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the product team.
About You
- Senior-level experience in product, category, or commercial management within food manufacturing or food retail.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Insight-led, data-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
