Pratap Partnership are working with a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed organisation in Castleford that is looking for an

Interim Group Accountant to join the business for an initial

3–6 month contract .

The business is currently going through an exciting period of growth and change, with ongoing acquisitions and transformation across the group, so while this is initially an interim position, there could be opportunities to extend or move into a longer-term role for the right person.

The Role

Working within the central Group Finance team, you'll play a key role in the month-end process, supporting multiple entities across the group.

Key responsibilities include

  • Preparing accruals and prepayments.
  • Business partnering with multiple cost centres.
  • Completing the management accounts for five group entities.
  • Supporting ledger closes and month-end reporting.
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting financial reporting, analysis and process improvements.

About You

You'll ideally be

  • Immediately available (or available at short notice).
  • An experienced Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant.
  • Confident with month-end accounting, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
