Management Accountant in Sheffield

Due to continued growth, organically and via acquisitions, increasing business demands and an expanding UK operation, a newly created position has become available for an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team.

• The role is predominantly home-based, with occasional travel required to businesses and sites across Yorkshire and the Northwest.

The Job:

You will have ownership of multiple entities where you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and management information.
• Supporting month-end reporting.
• Producing meaningful analysis of financial performance.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Analysing costs, margins and profitability.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• WIP.
• Interrogating data.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

The Person:

• Strong Management Accounting experience is required.
• You will be commercially minded, inquisitive, and confident dealing with people outside of finance.
• You must be comfortable working autonomously in a predominantly home-based environment.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
