Pramac, part of the third group in the world in the production of diesel and gas generators, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join our UK Team.

Directly reporting to the Head of Finance – UK & Ireland of Italy, the ideal candidate will be responsible for owning month-end close, financial controls, and structured management reporting for the UK business. Sitting at the core of Finance, this role ensures delivery of accurate management accounts, robust SOX compliance, MOR reporting, and detailed sales and margin analysis, supporting senior leadership with reliable numbers and clear insight. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who values clean reconciliations, strong controls, disciplined processes, and delivering to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Close (Primary Focus)
    • Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to Group HQ.
    • Deliver accurate and timely month-end close aligned to group reporting deadlines.
    • Own balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals.
    • Maintain integrity of the P&L and balance sheet.
    • Support year-end close and external audit processes.
    • Operate within a SOX-controlled environment, ensuring compliance at all times.
    • Prepare, evidence, and maintain key financial controls.
    • Support internal and external audit requirements.
    • Maintain strong documentation, audit trails, and process integrity.
    • Identify control gaps and support continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare MOR (Management Operating Review) reporting packs.
    • Deliver detailed sales, margin, and performance analysis.
    • Provide structured variance commentary (actual vs budget / forecast).
    • Support cost monitoring and operational performance tracking.
    • Produce clear financial insight for senior management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist with annual budget preparation.
    • Support planning cycles and scenario analysis.
    • Work with operational stakeholders to understand cost drivers and performance trends.
  • Systems & Data Integrity
    • Maintain financial data accuracy and reporting structures within the ERP system.
    • Support group reporting submissions.
    • Ensure integrity of master data and financial mappings.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting, and close efficiency.
  • People, Culture & Ways of Working
    • Act as a trusted finance partner to operational teams.
    • Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Support a culture of accountability, accuracy, and ownership.
    • Work collaboratively across Finance, Sales, Operations, and Aftersales.
    • Maintain high professional standards under pressure.
Skills & Experience
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
  • Comfortable working in a SOX or robust financial control environment.
  • Confident Excel user.
  • Strong attention to detail with disciplined deadline management.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and structured reporting packs.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or group reporting experience.
  • Exposure to MOR reporting.
  • Experience supporting audits and SOX frameworks.
