We are looking for a Parts Controller β UK & Ireland who will be responsible for the control, availability, quoting, and order processing of parts supporting service, aftersales, and operational activity across Pramac Generac UK & Ireland. The role acts as a primary point of contact for parts enquiries, responsible for quoting, taking orders, and progressing parts supply for internal teams, field engineers, service partners, and customers. By ensuring fast, accurate parts supply, the role directly supports first-time-fix, reduced downtime, and customer satisfaction across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Power Generation, Tower Lights, and Materials Handling Equipment (MHE).
Key Responsibilities
- Parts Enquiries, Quoting & Order Processing
- Act as a primary contact for parts enquiries from customers, engineers, and service partners.
- Identify correct parts using parts lists, serial numbers, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and issue parts quotations, ensuring accurate pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Convert approved quotations into parts sales orders within the ERP system (Oracle).
- Process parts orders end-to-end, including order confirmation, picking, dispatch, and invoicing support.
- Communicate clearly with customers on pricing, availability, delivery times, and order status.
- Parts Planning & Inventory Control
- Manage day-to-day control of service and aftersales parts inventory.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to support service demand and sales activity.
- Support min/max stock levels and critical spares management.
- Expedite urgent parts to support breakdown and reactive service requirements.
- Service & Engineer Support
- Issue parts to service jobs and field engineers in a timely and controlled manner.
- Ensure parts are available and dispatched ahead of scheduled service visits.
- Manage returns, warranty parts, and unused stock from engineers.
- Work closely with Service Controllers to maximise first-time-fix and minimise repeat visits.
- Supplier & Procurement Liaison
- Raise purchase orders for parts in line with approved suppliers and lead times.
- Liaise with suppliers and factories to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Resolve supplier issues including shortages, delays, or incorrect deliveries.
- Inventory Accuracy & Governance
- Maintain accurate stock records within the ERP system.
- Support cycle counting, stock audits, and discrepancy resolution.
- Reduce obsolescence, write-offs, and emergency freight costs.
- Support Finance with accurate inventory valuation and audit requirements.
- People, Culture & Safety
- Maintain an organised, safe, and efficient parts environment.
- Promote a service-led, customer-focused mindset.
- Work collaboratively with Service, Operations, and Sales teams.
- Take ownership and pride in delivering a high-quality parts service.

- Experience preparing quotations and processing orders.

- Experience using ERP or stock management systems (Oracle preferred).
Desirable
- Experience within power generation, energy systems, tower lighting, MHE, plant, or industrial equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, parts manuals, or exploded diagrams.
- Understanding of service and warranty processes.
