Role Purpose
The Warehouse & Logistics Operative at the Rugby site supports the safe, efficient and accurate operation of warehouse and logistics functions. The role ensures the movement, storage, preparation and dispatch of equipment, parts and materials, working closely with Operations, Service, Parts and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations: Receive, inspect and assist with book‑in of incoming goods; pick, pack and prepare items for dispatch; load and unload vehicles; store stock and maintain warehouse organisation; support equipment movements within the warehouse and yard; apply 5S principles.
- Logistics Support: Coordinate customer deliveries and collections; handle delivery paperwork and shipping documentation; support transport planning and vehicle loading; liaise with transport providers and internal departments; verify delivery accuracy and condition.
- Inventory Control: Assist with stock counts and cycle counting; maintain accurate stock records; report discrepancies, damages or shortages; ensure inventory integrity and audit readiness; record stock movements in company systems.
- Equipment Preparation: Support PDI activities; prepare Power Generation equipment, BESS, Tower Lights, and MHE for delivery or collection; keep equipment clean and presentable; assist with basic assembly where required.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Essential: Experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or operational environment; strong organisational and attention‑to‑detail skills; safety‑first mindset; good communication and teamwork; independent and collaborative work ability; basic IT skills; forklift licence (counterbalance and reach).
- Desirable: ERP or inventory system experience; knowledge of power generation or engineering environments; stock control experience; warehouse health and safety knowledge.
