The Role: As a Retail Business Analyst, you will contribute to the design and delivery of major transformation programmes, including designing new operating models, building business cases, supporting change programmes, or undertaking evaluations for clients. You will provide clear, business-focused recommendations. Stay updated on the latest market trends and technological innovations in retail, and build your knowledge of relevant solutions and systems. Developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues, communicating effectively, and inspiring trust are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business processes to support system re-design and process improvement projects, delivering client objectives.
- Test hypotheses and support the development of new opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally to develop tools that enable clients to solve problems.
- Create clear and engaging presentations for clients, articulating complex problems simply, and communicating recommendations effectively.
- Coordinate work across the team, ensuring readiness for client meetings, and deliver work to deadlines with accurate internal reporting.
- Keep up to date with market trends and technological innovations in retail.
- Support clients' transformation objectives by assessing current processes, operating models, and technologies to identify opportunities and threats.
Your Profile:
- Retail experience with a solid understanding of clients' markets and challenges, especially in Commercial or Space, Range, and Display processes. Experience in Food, Fashion, General Merchandise, or DIY is preferred, with a passion for retail and a desire to learn.
- IT skills including Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile digital platforms.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly in writing, presentations, and one-on-one interactions.
- Attention to detail, effective organization, and a proactive approach to learning and skill development.
- Outcome-focused, determined, and flexible team player.
- Exposure to change management techniques and experience in business case development is an advantage.
