The Role:
As a Retail Business Analyst, you will contribute to the design and delivery of major transformation programmes including designing new operating models, building business cases, supporting the delivery of change programmes or undertaking evaluations for clients, and providing clear business‑focused recommendations.
You will ensure you are abreast of the latest market trends and technological innovations for retail and be keen to build your knowledge and experience of relevant solutions and systems. It is key that you can develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues, communicating effectively and inspiring trust in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business processes to support system re‑design and process improvement projects, delivering client objectives.
- Test hypotheses effectively and support the development of new opportunities.
- Work cross‑functionally to develop new tools which enable clients to solve problems.
- Create clear and engaging presentations for clients with simple narratives for complex problems, drawing out recommendations and communicating effectively.
- Coordinate work across the team proactively ensuring readiness for client meetings, and deliver work to deadlines with accurate internal reporting maintained.
- Keep yourself up to date with the latest market trends and technological innovations in your domain.
- Support clients\’ objectives for transformation by assessing current processes, operating models, and technologies to determine opportunities and threats for the business now and in the future.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Retail experience and a solid understanding of our clients\’ markets and their challenges. Specifically, knowledge of Commercial or Space, Range and Display processes. Experience in Food or Fashion to General Merchandise or DIY but most importantly passionate about retail and interested to learn and develop.
- IT skills include Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and mobile digital platforms.
- Communication skills – ability to articulate and perform clear communications to mixed audiences – in writing, through presentations and one‑to‑one.
- Attention to detail, ability to organize and structure time effectively, and a willingness to learn, proactively improving your skills and capabilities.
- Outcome‑focused approach, determination, and tenacity to achieve with the ability to work flexibly in a team.
- Exposure to change management and knowledge of change management techniques is an advantage along with experience in business case development.
Good to have:
- Expertise in retail business analysis.
- Maintain close awareness of emerging technologies and their potential application for service offerings and products in the retail sector.
