PragmatIC is seeking an enthusiast Electronics Engineer to support prototyping activities and new product development relating to both analogue and digital circuits using PragmatIC’s FlexIC technology in combination with traditional electronics as well as externally sourced thin-film and printed components. The role encompasses design, assembly, test, and debug of electronic systems based on novel flexible circuitry.

Responsibilities

  • Circuit design and simulation
  • Prototyping with traditional electronics and PragmatIC’s devices
  • Technical reporting

Skills and experience

  • Flexible or hybrid electronics (an advantage)
  • Electronic design and simulation using EDA tools (e.g. Cadence or Mentor) an advantage
  • Digital design
  • Analogue design
  • PCB layout
  • PCB assembly and test
  • Embedded design (e.g. C, Verilog) an advantage
  • RF design and test (an advantage)
  • CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Sketchup, Inventor) an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate and disseminate information effectively to technical non-specialists
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects in parallel

Qualifications and training

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
  • Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (an advantage)
