Do you understand why one BESS solution works for a project and why another does not?
A well-funded European renewable-energy developer and IPP is hiring a BESS Engineer to support the development and delivery of large utility-scale battery projects across Europe.
This role is for someone who can go beyond reviewing a datasheet. You will compare batteries, PCS/inverters, electrical systems and control solutions; understand the technical and commercial trade-offs; and clearly explain why you recommend one approach over another.
You will join a central BESS engineering team that supports local project engineers. It is a strong next move for somebody who has built solid technical experience and now wants exposure to larger projects, broader decisions and more of the project lifecycle.
What we need:
- At least four full years working technically on utility-scale BESS projects.
- Engineer background, ideally electrical engineering or power-systems.
- Experience across multiple battery projects, not one isolated assignment.
- Ideally, experience within an IPP or developer, although consultancy, EPC or system-integrator backgrounds will be considered.
- The ability to work independently and defend your technical reasoning with experienced senior engineers.
- Fluent professional English.
- Experience taking projects into construction, commissioning or operations would be a major advantage.
Location:
UK, Germany, Italy or Spain. A hybrid set-up is preferred, although remote working may be considered for the right person who can travel.
