Overview
We have a new opportunity for a Stores Coordinator, based at our busy and expanding site, Pragmatic Park. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the effective coordination, control and management of materials, stock and inventory within the stores area. You will ensure that materials are received, stored and issued in accordance with company procedures to support site and operations efficiently.
We are looking in particular for candidates with a proactive attitude, keen to come up with ideas/solutions and who enjoy working positively with colleagues.
This is a varied and rewarding role, with the opportunity to make the role your own and collaborate closely with many people across a busy, fast-paced manufacturing site.
Key tasks
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against delivery documentation
- Record incoming goods on our inventory management system
- Ensure incoming goods are stored correctly and in line with company health and safety and handling procedures
- Issue materials to departments as requested, potentially including delivery of items to certain locations
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock records
- Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods promptly
- Liaise with Purchasing, Logistics and Operational teams to ensure material availability
- Coordinate dispatch of goods to customers or other facilities, ensuring correct documentation and packaging
- Support continuous improvement activities within stores and logistics function and across the business as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications and training
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Forklift Truck License (beneficial – either current or expired)
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role
- Proficient in using computer packages, systems and inventory management software (e.g Outlook, Excel, SAP/IFS or similar)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
Desirable:
- Qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Supply Chain would be desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in setting up and laying out of new Stores areas
- Familiarity with ESD Handling and Packaging requirements
