The Production team at Pragmatic Semiconductor is hiring! We have multiple excellent opportunities for Shift Operators to join our cleanroom team and play a key role in the production of our innovative, cutting-edge products. Working on a continental shift pattern, you will have responsibility for covering all aspects of processing to help ensure that the team meets deadlines and required standards of processing. You will be working in a 24/7 cleanroom environment where on-time delivery and quality are paramount.

We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills and an excellent attitude - as well as the desire to be part of a truly exciting journey as we scale up at our Durham manufacturing site, with genuine career progression opportunities. Please note, we are not able to offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role; candidates therefore need to be able to evidence proof of right to work in the UK, and be based near our Durham manufacturing site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical part of our journey, as we scale into high-volume manufacturing.

Key tasks
  • Operation of production equipment, including preparation, handling, and processing of production substrates following standard operating procedures.
  • Equipment performance monitoring, process checking and logging.
  • Data entry into our Factory Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for self and other fab area users.
Skills and experience
  • Experience of working within a lean, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various teams.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor/electronics manufacturing (advantage).
  • Proficiency in using an optical microscope (advantage).
