JOB PURPOSE
To co‑ordinate and supervise the implementation of projects (new openings of directly operated sales outlets, shop‑in‑shops and corners, as well as the refurbishment of existing locations), ensuring works are completed on time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out cost analysis for the preparation of the investment budget, based on parameters defined during the design phase; in collaboration with the Purchasing Department, review and select the most suitable offers for materials and labour from potential suppliers.
- Co‑ordinate projects for retail stores, shop windows and promotional displays within the assigned area, including the collection of all information required for project kick‑off.
- Plan, schedule and supervise on‑site activities involving designers and external suppliers, constantly monitoring site costs and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations; liaise with the Property Management Manager to obtain all required authorisations (including building and environmental permits).
- Prepare and implement project changes and updates when requested by Management or deemed necessary.
- Verify the technical feasibility of proposed design solutions.
- Co‑ordinate the execution of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with agreed quality standards and timelines.
- Proactively identify new suppliers and regularly review existing ones (for services, goods and materials), in line with company procurement procedures, to guarantee optimal quality and cost efficiency.
- Draft service contracts and fit‑out agreements in collaboration with the HQ Legal Department, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards, are financially approved, and are in place prior to implementation.
- Supervise technical works carried out by outsourced suppliers or specialists, ensuring compliance with corporate quality standards; confirm that works are completed satisfactorily within agreed deadlines and follow up on any outstanding issues.
- Ensure that all construction works comply with legal requirements, including but not limited to health and safety and fire regulations, and ensure that all technical drawings, permits and documentation are complete, up to date and properly filed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical drawings, documentation, photographic records of premises, and layout plans for stores, offices and other facilities.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Very good knowledge of English and Italian.
- Solid experience as a Retail Project Manager, with an architectural or surveying background.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience planning and managing both small‑ and large‑scale projects.
- Strong experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Experience in a client‑facing role within a retail environment; luxury retail experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD; SAP knowledge is a plus.
