To support the development and promotion of the brand in line with the agreed press strategy, in order to maximise awareness in the local market through effective communication and positively impact on retail sales and the wider business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and propose seasonal editorial strategies to achieve high and consistent levels of press coverage for all categories (Ready-to-Wear, Leather Goods, Accessories, Fine Jewellery, Special Projects) across key long- and short-lead titles, as well as digital and social media.
  • Execute strategies by reinforcing key editorial and seasonal focuses alongside the Head of Communications, maintaining DMR / Power BI ranking within the top five across all categories throughout the year against competitors.
  • Monitor media and cultural trends, competitor activity and market opportunities to inform strategy and keep brands culturally relevant.
  • Develop seasonal communication strategies and annual assisted editorial strategies and propose advertising insertions alongside the Head of Communications.
  • Build and foster relationships with key fashion and lifestyle press across all Northern Europe media platforms to proactively identify their strategies, needs and stories, and suggest new opportunities for the brand.
  • Regularly liaise with the press regarding seasonal product focuses, particularly on leather goods, and share all the brand’s latest news and special projects to secure a high level of coverage across all categories.
  • Ensure that journalists’ needs and press requests are handled and fulfilled efficiently.
  • Expand new media activity by proactively seeking additional opportunities and accelerating print, digital and social penetration.
  • Work closely with local Retail Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Store Managers, CRM / Client Experience and Events teams to identify and promote key merchandise, capsule collections and other special project opportunities.
  • Maintain close relationships with the Headquarters team in Milan and follow their lead on all strategies while collaborating closely with global colleagues in each subsidiary.
  • Constantly monitor media, both print and online, to maintain an updated and clear knowledge of ongoing market trends, competitors and new brand activities.
  • Manage and oversee assistants and support all aspects of sample trafficking for Prada Donna and Uomo, ensuring that sample management processes are followed.
  • Liaise with the Headquarters team in Milan and other subsidiary press offices to coordinate editorial shootings.
  • Ensure that all looks are sent out complete with necessary shoes, handbags and/or other related merchandise, in full alignment with Prada’s full-look policy.
  • Coordinate sample send-outs and returns to and from shoots using SAMPLE tools, overseeing tracking to ensure all samples are where they should be.
  • Oversee the stockroom and ensure all samples are packed and that quarterly/seasonal stock inventory targets are met.
  • Maintain an immaculate showroom and stockroom at all times according to company guidelines.
  • Support Prada Donna and Uomo fashion show preparations in relation to coverage, seating and general coordination.
  • Collaborate with the VIP / Influencer team to identify key opportunities throughout the year and lead on media placements to maximise our brand ambassadors.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of press dynamics, editorial calendars, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers.
  • Ability to develop and execute press strategies aligned with brand objectives, including seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Industry knowledge, familiarity with trends, competitors, and the positioning of high-end brands within the market.
  • Skilled in crafting compelling narratives for press releases, pitches, and media placements across print, digital, and social platforms.
  • Experience coordinating press events, fashion shows, and sample trafficking while ensuring flawless execution under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to monitor media coverage, interpret data (e.g., DMR / Power BI rankings), and provide actionable insights to optimize press performance.
  • Strategic planning, hands-on execution, and staff management, including mentoring junior team members and managing relationships at all levels.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrates strong judgement, and proactively anticipates both client needs and cultural trends.
